Snowboarding: Sölden (AT)
March 2nd, 2009 by Dakey | Filed under Holiday blogger.A few weeks ago we returned from a great snowboarding holiday in Sölden (Austria). It was pretty long time ago that I visited this nice country. Normally we go to france by bus but this year we bought a new car (suzuki grand vitara, freestyle edition) so ofcourse we would like to try the 4×4 function in the snow, therefore we drove 826 km (513 miles) by ourself to visit this little country surrounded by mountains!
Well I have to say that travelling by car to the destination is much better that going by bus! No draggin around with bags, no waiting for other (drunken) passengers,etc…
Sölden is a very nice spot for winter sports! It’s a very big place with long snowboard/skiing tracks. The Austrian people are very friendly, dogs are allowed everywhere and the ski parties afterwards are well worth! Also this time I took some pictures (and shot a video). Here’s a little selection:
